When you hear the words "Big, juicy, melts in your mouth, the most heavenly feeling that words cannot express" what do you think of? Get your mind out of the gutter! Nowadays that's what the fast food industry wants you to get out of their advertisements. In the early years, going to a fast food restaurant was a family oriented industry, but with the type of ads you see this day, that old image has become blurred. Like they say: SEX SELLS! Everywhere you look you see half naked girls eating a burger. A beautiful and fit young lady taking bites out of a burger, trying to make it as sexy as possible. Whether it be on a beach, or washing a car in a bikini. Let's get realistic. How many people do we see eating a hamburger while they wash their car? Fast food industries are attracting men to eat their burgers. They’re putting a thought into women's mind saying that it won't hurt to eat a burger of theirs. They'll still look good.
They also make subliminal sex jokes within their ads. “She’ll tell you size doesn’t matter. She’s lying.” What do you think of? Of course! The size of a man’s penis. This goes back to the whole, “big, juicy, melts in your mouth.” These advertisers phrase their words to attract the young generation and reel them in to buy their food. It’s ridiculous! Also the sandwich entering the woman’s mouth then saying “It’ll BLOW your mind away.” Do I need to explain that? I think you get the idea. We, as consumers are not helping either. We support them buy buying their food. I do admit that they are smart by using sex to advertise. Especially to the young generation. Let’s see how far these advertisers will go to sell their product.

Albondiga Soup
I can not cook even if my life depended on it. If i were to live on my own, I would live off of Top Roman or cereal. That's why I am so happy to have my incredibly talented mother who cooks the best Mexican dishes. The ultimately best food my mom can ever make is the traditional Albondiga soup. Albondiga means meatball in Spanish. It is our version of meatball soup. When my mom is cooking this soup, everyone in the house knows that family is coming over. I'm not one hundred percent sure how she makes it exactly, but I know that the meatballs are ground beef, minced onion, tomato, and rice, seasoned with garlic salt. I love helping my mom roll them up into the little balls. They’re about one inch in diameter. She adds carrots, oregano, cilantro, zucchini, tomato, string beans and potatoes. She also adds beef broth. This great dish takes about an hour to make. The meatballs soak for about thirty minutes, and it takes about another thirty minutes to have the vegetables cook as well. When it’s all done, add a little lemon, avocado and some Valentina hot sauce and it is amazing! It may not sound like a five star meal, but it sure makes my tummy happy.
